| Apple has a feature on Salt Lake City television station KTVX for its use of Final Cut Pro. The feature quotes the station's production manager as saying that it went with Final Cut Pro because it could not afford to replace editing bays with legacy systems. But, KTVX ended up finding a number of benefits from using FCP. For example, reporters can select shots and edit stories on laptops while still in the field. Oddly, KTVX dumps finished stories back to beta for playback during the newscast. |
