New York Times building sold

The New York Times building was sold this week. The paper won't be moving out of the building for another couple of years; it will rent the building until its new building is ready. Nevertheless, the sale is historic.

The building has housed the paper for the nearly the past 100 years. The new headquarters is being built on 43rd Street, a few blocks away from Times Square.

The Observer has a nice piece on the paper's history in the building.
