ABC News chief has a "new" idea for network television news: some facts.
David Westin told an audience at Harvard last night he's seeing too much opinion, which takes time away from reporting fact. Amen.
Meanwhile, lots of people with time on their hands looking for bias. (For our purposes here, the definition of bias is opinion you don't agree with.) The Boston Globe reports that some says the media are liberal....some say it's conservative. And a Los Angeles Times columnist sees a link between a politically fractured electorate and a divided media. |
