Sinclair Broadcasting has caved. The company, under enormous pressure, decided against airing the "documentary" that was critical of Sen. Kerry. Instead it will air parts of it in "news" stories.
Now the company says it never intended to air it in its entirety. Right!
Meanwhile, Jon Leiberman, the Sinclair Washington Bureau Chief the company fired when he said airing the documentary was unethical, says this was not an isolated incident. Leiberman, a 1997 graduate of the Northwestern J-school, says the company has long pressured journalists to slant stories positively for republicans and negatively for democrats. |
