Vai Sikahema on campus

Former NFL star Vai Sikahema was on campus this week. Vai, currently the sports director for Philadelphia NBC affiliate WCAU, spoke in our broadcast classes on Monday. On Tuesday morning he was the speaker in the weekly university devotional. He gave a very inspiring talk, which I was hoping would be rebroadcast this week on KBYU-TV locally and BYUTV nationally. Unfortunately the BYU Broadcasting website does not have it on the schedule -- only an MP3 audio version can be heard online.

(BYU Broadcasting may not know it, but the University is expecting a rebroadcast on Sunday, October 24 at 6 a.m. on KBYU-TV and at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on BYU Television.)

We got to know the Sikahema family in Green Bay, when Vai played for the Packers. In fact, Vai stayed in our home during the training camp, before his family moved from Phoenix.

Any of my students who missed Vai missed out in a big way!
