This is a series of virtual reality (QTVR) images embedded inside a "scene" which allows the viewer to "walk" along Fessenden Steet to Wisconsin Avenue NW and then north along Wisconsin to the corner of Wisconsin and Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. It was captured during Washington's big snowstorm in late February, 2003,when more than two feet snowed-in the city and its suburbs for two days. Use the "bullseye" cursor to look around and when it changes to an "arrow" cursor, click until it turns black and you will "jump" to the next VR along the path. Turning around enables you to navigate back to the origin, which is the corner of Fessenden St., NW and Belt Road, NW, at the northwest corner of Fort Reno Park. It's not often when one can walk down the middle of Wisconsin Avenue in Washington for two miles straight. The person in every scene is Leif Redmond. This is a 6.6 meg QuickTime file so you might need to be a bit patient for the entire file to load at which point the arrow jumps will be enabled.
