Seattle Monorail Project's Plan and Finance Approach
This is a 16-minute audio discussion about the
finance plan and total cost of ownership of the proposed Seattle Monorail Green
Line. Recorded Tuesday, June 28, 2005.
The bottom line on this podcast is that there are
a lot of things about public infrastructure financing we need, as citizens, to
learn. The Seattle Monorail Project's proposal for the Green Line is good, the
finance package they are recommending is not good and needs to be trashed. My
recommendation is that the citizens of Seattle attend the public hearings on
this one and make their thoughts heard at both the SMP and at City
Council.
