BNSF Freight in Carkeek Park w/live field audio |
|
This is another in the time/motion series and uses six still images taken sequentially. The setting is the shore-side of the BNSF mainline tracks running through Carkeek Park in Northwest Seattle. North is the direction the scene is facing. The audio was captured with an Olympus digital audio recorder and is actually "after the fact," which is to say the sound was recorded following the image capture and closer to the track. The individuals shown in the images, (except for the lone, distant, man and shadow) are Seattle photobloggers/photographers who were meeting at Carkeek Park (this place) in NW Seattle to attack the park, it's forests, meadows, railroad tracks and beach with their digital and silver weapons of choice. For the transit in you, take the #5 Metro KC bus and get off at NW 117th St. Walk west along 117th and follow the road, it dead-ends in the park - or, you can take the obvious trail shortcut at the last bend. It's steep, and no sidewalk but there's also no traffic. Direct link to movie file is http://homepage.mac.com/credmond/CarkeekRRFlick.mov . |
