In addition to monthly meetings to encourage the continued growth of its teachers in education and performance, SCVMTA also offers students the opportunity to perform in concert. This year, the SCVMTA sponsored a Monster Concert Oct. 25th at UW-River Falls. Here is a photo of Lonna Possehl--Mastermind and chief co-ordinator of our 2009 Monster Concert on rehearsal day. |

Approximately 118 pianists performed on 6 pianos in the William Abbott Concert Hall. String groups, flutists, and vocalists also performed. The grand finale, "The Walnut River Rag," was played by 12 teachers. The concert was performed for an appreciative standing-room-only audience of siblings, parents, grandparents, and friends. | ||
