Heritage Days 2004 title image

The last weekend of September 2004 was beautiful trout fishing weather, so I missed the celebration. Amy Kavaloski-Lansing reported that it was a beautiful weekend for Heritage Days as well; my thanks to her for the photos on this page.

Alex Rettig spent the day making balloon animals and entertaining the children. His colorful costume was created entirely with items purchased at the Farmstead Flea Market.

The New Richmond KIDS Company, led by Mick Johnson, ran the kids games section of the Festival . The sack race drew some enthusiastic competitors!

Earlier in 2004 the Miss Heritage Committee was formed. Volunteers are publicizing opportunities for young women to represent New Richmond as Miss Heritage 2005.

The new bandstand is popular with musical groups entertaining visitors to the Heritage Center. In the photo, a volunteer takes a few minutes to enjoy the Scandia Community Band.

Old and new come together for Heritage Days. Here, an ambulance from the 1960's and a modern police patrol car contrast with two log buildings in the background.

The Baldwin Fire Department sent a representative from their fleet of fire engines. Fire engines are especially popular with the boys in the family, both young and old.
