The SJMUG was founded on November
5, 2002 by Carlos R. Ramírez and Juan Carlos Bear,
two die hard fans of Macintosh Computers and all Apple®-related
products. We realized that a Macintosh Community was not represented
in the Metropolitan Area of San Juan, Puerto Rico. Macintosh
users are bountiful in San Juan, but with no means to communicate
and share their passion for the Mac. Here is where the SJMUG
comes to fill the missing gap. Mac Users now have a home to
communicate, share ideas, meet new friends, help other Mac
users in need, and just have lots and lots of fun! :) The
SJMUG meets two or three times
a month (usually 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month) @ Paseo
Galeria's 2nd floor in or front of Modérnica store.
Our membership is growing on a daily basis, and so is our
Mac Community, becoming larger and larger each day! Before
each meeting a newsletter is sent via e-mail to all our members
and those interested in becoming members, where last meeting's
activities are informed as well as upcoming activities. News
and tips from our members are also published making the SJMUG
Newsletter a blast to read! To enhance our communcation between
Mac users we have an iChat Room, called SJMUG, of course,
where any member can chat their hearts desire with any other
SJMUG member, it is really great!
If you have a Macintosh or
plan to have one, want to talk and meet fun people that know
Mac, we would love to hear from you and have you join our
group! Become a member
of the San Juan Macintosh User Group and feel the presence
of our Mac community!
