Everyone's Getting Ready for Christmas, We're Getting Ready to
Move!
This is a test abstract. What's it
for?
Straight ahead of me, out my window, is another
clear blue sky. Palm trees, the park, everything's so green. At my feet is
Disco, laying on her day bed under a wool blanket in front of the fireplace,
keeping warm. THe sun's going to be strong today, so that means another T-shirt.
But, to my left, is a mountain of boxes. Actually, 6 mountains of boxes, couches
piled up on one another and wardrobe boxes with all my clothes crushed together.
All ready for transport. Monday, I think. That's when I hope I can get the
movers to take everything away. Disco and I however, are leaving later in the
week or maybe the first week of January. So many logistics and Disco's not
helping much. Packing, the movers, the car shipper, the dog shipper and the
million other things that have to be done when one moves cities. I like to
travel light and I hate clutter. But after four years, I've accumulated a fair
number of things, furniture, etc. that makes me uncomfortable to have so much
baggage. Still, I'm taking it all with me, just in case. Whatever I don't need,
I'll sell or give away. I don't want to have to send for it
later.
So this is the first entry of my blog
and now I'm going to see how it all works.
