U.S. officials raid stores,arrest 2 in game piracy
LOS ANGELES, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Federal authorities
raided three Washington, D.C.-area video game stores and arrested two people for
modifying video game consoles to play pirated video games, a video game industry

This is the first I've heard about someone getting into trouble for modding xbox's. Of course they were selling them in the store and charging an unreal $500 each.
So the question is, is it illegal to take a part something you purchase? Illegal to violate the warranty? I guess not, their charges were for conspiracy to commit copy right fraud.
