The Rearing of a Nation


Why some don't want to see it is befuddling....



I wholeheartedly support the Purple Finger for Freedom Campaign.

Tonight as I was driving home, a caller to the Hugh Hewitt show compared the United States to an adult democracy, and Iraq by comparison was just a newborn babe. Thus by association, we as the adult are obligated to help rear the baby, and bring it along to where is can stand on its own.

As has been well demonstrated, there are some who want to abdicate this responsibility and pull out of Iraq as soon as possible. To continue the analogy, to me this is the equivalent of birthing that baby and then abandoning it in a dumpster. The action of an immature adolescent who is not ready for the responsibility.

It is not hard to see which party represents the child rearing adult, and which the baby abandoning juvenile.
