No News & Good News

Jason at Countercolumn points out that the esteemed New York Times (you know....'All the news that is fit to print'?) hasn't bothered to inform its dwindling readership of how Iraqi locals took Al Qaeda's 'Butcher of Ramadi' into custody and turned him over to coalition forces. I guess that major development of Iraqi people continuing to turn against Al Qaeda isn't 'fit to print'.... Shocker!

However, a search of the NYT for the word 'Ramadi' in recent articles turns up one with the interesting revelation that Zarqawi is actually an American plant!
``Zarqawi is an American, Israeli and Iranian agent who is trying to keep our country unstable so that the Sunnis will keep facing occupation,'' said a Baathist insurgent leader who would give his name only as Abu Abdullah .

I do like the American/Israeli/Iranian triad that is working against the Baathists. Now that is a conspiracy!

UPDATE: Doh! Powerline beat me to the punch. And here I thought I was being original! ;-)
