Back in the Saddle

Well, it has been two months since I last posted anything, as it was an extremely busy summer on the military front.

First my old unit had its big IG inspection, causing a very hectic schedule. Fortunately we did extremely well, thanks to the hard work of many.

Second, right after that at the end of August I completed the regular military tradition of uprooting a family, trying to sell a house, driving across the country while trying to find hotels that will take dogs above 20 lbs, then living out of a hotel, putting the dogs in a kennel, and trying to buy another house. I refer of course to the fun that is a Permanent Change of Station (PCS). Well, we are almost at the end of the whole cycle, as we have transitioned from Texas to Virginia, have a contract on a house, liberated the dogs from 'jail', and are killing some of my excess leave in a cabin near Virginia Beach. We just need to sell that pesky house in Texas.....

Soon I will hit the ground at my new unit and learn my new job. I will also have some other things affecting my life in the near future which will take up a lot of time. so future postings may not be as plentiful as they have been, but I will post whenever the mood strikes.
