Officially Sanctioned Terrorist Loopholes



Andrew Cochran at Counterterrorism Blog has more insight into the threat posed by the U.S. Visa Waiver program.

The waiver allows residents and aliens from over 2 dozen nations to enter the U.S. without a standard Visa clearance. The problem that this overlooks is the rising influence of radicalism in European Muslims (especially our close ally Britain), and the ease with which militant Islamists can enter those countries (yes Canada, I am talking about you!) and obtain 'status'.

We went through a similar kerfuffle back in 2003, with the equally pourous Transit without a Visa Program. Only the bright light of online outrage (shined by the likes of Michelle Malkin and Joel Mowbray) brought the issue to the forefront. Lets hope that in growing influence of the new online media can have the same result this time around.
