Kerry and the 'Cut & Run' GOP

Perhaps the thing that struck me the strangest about John Kerry's vitriolic non-apology statement was not his personal attacks on Tony Snow and Rush, but this line:
No Democrat will be bullied by an administration that has a cut and run policy in Afghanistan....
Huh? Did I miss something? Did we pull all of our troops out of Afghanistan over the weekend when I wasn't looking? Did we withdraw them back to Okinawa as Rep. Murtha advised us to do?

What this is probably related to is the uptick in Taliban related violence in the country, and the media analysis that we are "Losing Afghanistan".

Now one reason for this is that we have handed off some of responsibility for patroling and battling the Taliban to NATO and Afghani troops. Neither seem to be as effective as US regular and special forces, which should be no surprise.

This is a strange way to define "cut and run", and the fact that Kerry seems to think that he can turn that phrase to affect the GOP is even more strange. Especially given that this is the strategy they espouse for Iraq.

But then again what should we expect from our buddy JFK*?
