Infiltration?

Is it just my subjective opinion, or does it seem that a good deal of those active duty military members who have chosen to publicly desert or 'object' have heavy pre-enlistment ties to obvious leftist groups? Add to that that they enlisted after we invaded Iraq (or it was obvious we would).

All this makes me think that just perhaps they joined the military for a very specific purpose. That purpose being the one they are now following....'speaking out' and 'resisting' in order to make it look as if the military is ready to revolt.

Why else would Ehren Watada, who grew up under the parenting of a leftist war protester, join the Army after the war had started?

Why else would Jonathan Hutto who spent his pre-enlistment days working for Amnesty International, "fighting back" against the Bush administration, and fighting police racism, join the military? Especially is he thinks it is “an institutional culture laced with discriminatory behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation and geography.”

To me they seem like they might have enlisted with a purpose, one that does not include the words "support and defend".
