Jobs at Brandient (II)

What, no art directors?

Somebody asked me, rather disappointed: Designers this, designers that, but what about art directors? You tell me Brandient hires no art directors? — I'm an art director, I have that in my chromosomes! This ain't no justice! You forgot where you've started!

Short answer:
There are two breeds of art directors: the drawing kind and the smart-talking kind. We do hire the drawing kind.

Long answer:
I'm sorry. I remembered how much I was attached myself to the idea of being an art director 4 years ago, before switching to this design business. Talking about what's in a name! My fault, but I will explain and correct that.

We do hire art directors but we don't have art directors, because we proudly call ourselves designers (even if some of us sharpened our teeth as art directors in agencies). We do design and we love it: corporate and product identity, collateral, packaging, retail graphics, internal communication, web, motion graphics and other kinds of visual communication design for local and foreign clients. But our main strength is in inventing clever brand mechanics. Or conceive communication platforms and design rules that enforce style consistency across the whole spectrum of a brand's visual communication.

While a strong art directing experience is always beneficial for solving complex problems that involve communication platforms, we think that the best name for this 'fight business entropy while creating new things'-person in a brand consultancy is designer not art director. This is why we're back to the roots.

But if you are really, and I mean really keen on your 'art director' thing, here, you're all set — I have a very special e-mail address to send your CV at, for you and only you:

Update: Here, I updated the announcement also.
