Wed - March 24, 2004Incepem!They already begun
![]() ![]() ![]() I deeply respect people who make things happen. These days Vlad Nanca seems to be one of those guys (I had another post with his name in it, not too far down the timeline). Recently he managed to launch the first issue of Incepem (attemptive translation: "Let us begin!" or "Go!"), an experimental book/magazine, produced in a very limited edition of only 10 copies. I saw the book last night and I was impressed. Centered on the theme "Chemistry" it comprises 100 pages contributed by 37 artists, ranging from illustration, computer art, photography, mixed media, sound and readymade. This is more than a book, more than an object -- is a bridge that links together a handful of young Romanian (underground? not mainstream, anyway) artists and furthermore, it helps Romanian artistic movement be more visible on the map. Let's not just keep our fingers crossed for the second issue to come out, but help him by spreading the word, help him make contacts or even submitting* work. His mission deserves it. ____ * «The fanzine INCEPEM continues with the second issue again with a very limited edition of 10 copies. Anyone can contribute to the fanzine under the following conditions: Every contribution needs to be size A4 and in 10 copies. Every copy of a contribution will be used to make up the 10 copies of the fanzine. This way every contributor pays for his own contribution. There can be sent an unlimited number of pages as long as it is 10 times (example: a text of four pages would be made 10 times = 40 pages). Every page has to be used on both sides. There can be sent photocopies, prints, b&w, color, plastic, textile etc with the condition that they are size A4 and both sides are used. There is no restriction on the content as long as it answers to the theme of the fanzine. The theme of the second issue is CHEAP. Every contribution will be sent on Sefan Tiron’s address (Aleea Compozitorilor 6a, bloc 822, ap35, sc A et8, sector 6, Bucuresti). Theme: CHEAP; Deadline: April 9; Don’t forget: A4, both sides, 10 times.» Posted Wed - March 24, 2004 at 11:31 AM Back to | | Feedback: | Read posts: | |
