Nikon D70

I cannot get enough of it

I've graduated the Nikon Coolpix 7500 part of my life, full of enthusiasm and patience – because much enthusiasm and patience are needed while waiting for 7500's auto-focus to decide weather if it wants to do its job or quit on you. Not to mention how long it takes to save, when a shot is taken, eventually.

So I bought a Nikon D70.

Nikon D70

It feels like a great camera, responsive and precise – the million units sold confirm its stardom. All the controls are logically placed and the design – of both the camera body and the interface – is very ergonomic. A couple of days ago the D70S was announced but there doesn't seem to be such a significant improvement, so why wait for its arrival?

I purchased it from F64 Studio, a nice specialized store in Bucharest, the guys over there seemed nice and helpful so I recommend them for when you need to buy photographic equipment.

The D70 came without a manual, not a big deal because the PDFs are floating across the net. Romania is not available as an option in some parts of Nikon's European web site, but that's not a big deal either, because I've managed to register the camera and get the latest firmware eventually. But it felt how it usually feels when you're asked to show your Romanian passport and then you're suddenly left out.

Yellow house and yellow car. Cristian

Anyway. I took it out for a long walk in the sunshine today and it felt great. I cannot get enough of it!
