Every once in a while i find funny little happenings in Kit.blog logs. For instance, a couple of days ago I've got two consecutive hits from Google with the same keywords: "Apple iPod advertising campaign," at only about 20 minutes from each other. Bang, bang! But nothing unusual.



The funny part begins when the IPs get resolved into domain names: the first one was from inside TWA Chiat/Day, and the second hit was from inside Ogilvy. Keep your friends close and your enemies even closer. Vanity surfing for the first, envy surfing for the second?



Who knows? Could be. Or could be festival planning, could be recruitment background checking, could be a pitch on the horizon, could be anything. Even a coincidence.

Further drilling reveals that while the TWA Chiat/Day hit was coming from a Macintosh MacPPC, the Ogilvy hit was coming from a Microsoft Win2000 box. Oh! Then why do you bother, dear Ogilvy exec? Why even bother?

This is why thins are like they are. And this is how they are supposed to be.
