Your help needed

Donate money to agencies carrying out relief work

The figures climb faster than anyone can imagine: BBC reports that more than 50,000 people died. Your donations are badly needed.

Red Cross' web site seems unable to process donations from non-US countries but I managed to donate to Unicef UK, thus supporting the South Asia Floods Appeal.

For donations, BBC recommends also the following websites of agencies carrying out relief work: Cafod, Care International, International Federation of the Red Cross, Medecins Sans Frontieres, Oxfam, Save The Children and World Vision. If you want to send money directly in the region or need info about other ways to donate, see The Command Post's 'Earthquake: How to Help.'

This is the least we can do.

Update: About 77,000 people have been confirmed killed in the earthquake and waves. The number of dead from Sunday's Indian Ocean killer waves is likely to spiral above 100,000, the Red Cross has said. Kick out of your paralysis and donate!
