Wed - July 14, 2004Geek funThe coolest OS X embedded toy to play with: UNIX
When things are tight and stressful and complicated, usually when
preparing difficult sales pitches, I tend to break away from the business at
night and enjoy writing simple bash shell scripts or shell
one-liners.
For instance, playing with curl, grep, sed, awk and tr, I managed to write one-liners that bring filtered web content right on my desktop courtesy of GeekTool (awesome toy for OS X-ers). A while ago, I even succeeded to compile Gnome right on top of X11 and Darwin and played a bit with it. Geek fun. Posted Wed - July 14, 2004 at 10:56 AM Back to | | Feedback: | Read posts: | |
