RoBloggers Survey caused quite a bit of a stir in the Romanian blogosphere. The results were dissected and weighted, conclusions were drawn and a few more or less civilized arguments about our pale A-list flourished. [links in Romanian]

Flame wars do not help. More data does.

What
In order to gather more pertinent data, a common platform is needed. I propose Technorati's Romanian blog directory http://www.technorati.com/blogs/Romania.

Why
Because Technorati is the recognized "authority on what's going on in the world of weblogs" and its tools for ranking authority and tracking conversations are a de facto standard.

Also, because it is already a quite populated platform already, although yet unstructured: not all Romanian blogs use the 'Romania' tag. Structuring the cloud with the right metrics (i.e. implementing the mentioned tag, but not only) should make ranking and mining relevant. Further tagging with the author's city and the blog's theme(s), for instance, would provide additional benefits. Yes, it is trivial, but only 246 Romanian blogs are enlisted and properly tagged so far.

Technorati is not infallible (for instance, the automatic linking towards the author of a blog template is not an accurate indication of a high popularity, also people using more/indirected URLs cannot leverage their option) and should be taken with a grain of salt, but provides a valid enough base for observation and discussion.

How
It's very simple:
◊ If you are already enlisted with Technorati, add 'Romania' among your blog tags.
◊ If you are not enlisted with Technorati, sign up, claim your blog by inserting a piece of code on your homepage, then add 'Romania' among your blog tags.

Follow-up: Carmen proposes an even more targeted approach by using 'RomanianBlog' tag in order to pinpoint the Romanian blogs category. I think it's a great idea, and—in my opinion—'RomanianBlog' should be used in conjunction with 'Romania' and city tags, for a more complete yet flexible utilization.
