Cartoon-like mythological motives from the Liebig sets

 

The Liebig extract of meat company, known as LEMCO, OXO, Fray Bentos, Brook Bond, etc., gave as a gift to their customers, with their produce, cards from various printers, such as Appel, or Testu and Massin, and afterwards complete sets, issued by the Liebig company itself. Over 1870 sets were issued in different languages. The first Liebig sets were produced around 1872, and continued for over 100 years, until 1975 [text adapted from Alan Overton's site Liebig-on-line]
