Here are some common sights you might see when driving through Romania.
 

   


A lot of the countryside is similar to the midwest... farmland and lots of it.

Most houses have enormous stacks of hay or corn stalks outside...
these are used to both feed the animals...
and make shelter for the animals.
People sell things along the roadside a lot. This woman has potatoes.
This guy is selling "moonshine" and other assorted spirits.

People get around using many forms of transportation... buses,
trains,
even horse and buggy!
Here is a well, which are used to provide water to many villages and towns.
This is a typical picture of housing, both single family and high rises.
Many buildings could use a bit of repair.
Open air markets are commonplace.
Romanians are predominantly Orthodox.
