I love the quotation with its 4 parallel constructions in verses 11 to 13. Notice the way that the reactions all make sense. They're all parallel. They all have a certain logic to them. All except the last one, which defies the parallelism and defies expectations.
If we died with him,
We will also live with him.
If we endure,
We will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
He will disown us.
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful. |
