66 — Monday April 11 — Luke 22:1-46
These are big doings, not possible to do justice in a blog. It's clear from the Last Supper that Jesus' life was all about the preparation for his death. The crowds at the feeding of the 5000 saw him take bread, bless it, break it and give it to them. Some assumed he'd come to feed them and to be their king. That ain't it.
The disciples also saw him take bread, bless it, break it and give it to them. They were told he'd come to give his body for them and to be their sacrifice.
All Jesus' life, he was talking about 'his hour'. This is it. |
