new website open for business

The original idea was to put up a site about my books and do so before Mealtime Habits was published, to link it clearly with Jesus Asked and to stir up interest.

The next idea was to get the site up and running the same month that Mealtime was released.

Then, maybe that summer, when I had more time.

So here it is, a year and a few months late. The beginnings of Conrad's Weblog Annex in all of its glory.

It's hard to make self-promotion a priority. I think I'm supposed to have favourable reviews and blurbs from famous people hanging all over the site. Maybe I'll get so some of that. Meanwhile, I'll be using it to share some stuff that people just might be interested in.

Sort of like a DVD disk of 'extras,' the Annex will feature out-takes and missing scenes and so on. I'll be adding stuff in from time to time. Right now there are two things there:

1. Mealtime: The Missing Prayers. Originally each of the 40 Encounters in Mealtime had a prayer at the end. Zondervan had me change them to thought questions. I thought some folks might like having the prayers as well.

2. Jesus Asked: The Errata Sheet. Can you believe that in one sentence we left out the word "not"!? There are just a few changes. I've tried to play it up by calling it a Book Upgrade v. 1.1 ... on reflection it's probably more like version 1.0.1 at most. Not a big deal, but it shows my heart's in the right place.

I'll now be away on vacation for a week, but when I get back, I'll be adding some more stuff. Some of it pretty exciting, I think. The blog will keep running as usual, but stuff about my books, though announced on the blog, will go onto the Annex.
