Surf's up and I'm out there -- flailing around trying to shepherd 8 surfboards, working hard on a surfboard management 'system'. So busy with stuff, who has time to actually ride one? Besides, if I did that, what would happen to the others?
That's me at the moment. Term's out, sabbatical's on. I'm a week into it, and haven't actually written a word yet, still haven't a clear idea of what book I should write next. I've spent some time messing about with a book idea the publisher likes but which I've not lived with for long enough to know what it means or how it works or whether I can write it.
One definite sabbatical project is my Blog Annex (originally scheduled to appear before Mealtime Habits, then scheduled to appear at the same time. *sigh*), which will feature Jasper Fforde-style upgrades to and out-takes from the two books. |
