| My friend Antony sent me a link this morning. John Perry wrote article about procrastination -- one of those funny but oh so true pieces. Here's the skinny. Put something that only seems important and only seems urgent at the top of your to-do-list and you'll wind up doing things lower down the list (but which really do need to be done) as a way of avoiding the big scary task at the top. The more Big Things you take on, the more real work you get done trying to hide from them. It's funny but actually a potentially useful concept for those of us trying to get in touch with our Inner Slacker. |
