For a class session on Jesus as a teacher, I decided to read the Beatitudes from Rob Lacey's new book The Liberator (UK, USA). I nearly choked when I came to these words:
I'll tell you who'll still be laughing: the people who know about grief, who don't shove the mess behind the sofa, but face it. God himself is going to put his arm around them (Matt. 5:4). |
