Making a Temporary City Park

I've always been a fan of what I call "Euvandalism" -- unilaterally doing undeserved good things to people or property, like having a gang of folks who go out when it's dark and re-grease the chains and bearings of parked bicycles, or surreptitiously feed parking meters, or just pick up other people's litter.

It extends to a grudging respect for the creative vandalism of people like Banksy whose art relies on subverting and defacing other people's property against their will, but true euvandalism should be not merely legal, but welcomed by the victim.

All this a preface to a fun project called PARK(ing) in the States where some folks pay for a parking place and fill it with turf, a park bench and potted tree -- a temporary park. Beautiful.
