DESCRIPTION

I can't say too much about ADVERTISEMENT because it will spoil the surprise! Let's just say it's a stylized take on the quick-cut commercial style, with handheld camera aplenty and hip music. And there's some white powder involved.

What people are saying about ADVERTISEMENT:

"That actually came out a lot better than I thought it would." -- S. Lavigne
"That ... clip is sick and wrong and i love it ... nicely done!" -- Alex R. Mayer, director of legendary no-budget hilarity-fest Doomed Planet (!)

DID YOU KNOW? DO YOU CARE? CREDITS

All the film stuff had to be re-shot because much to my dismay, I popped the lid off the camera after shooting the first time to discover my precious film all crinkled up and ruined. Dag. But I think the second go-around went better, anyway.

Sean and I had an ongoing argument about whether my idea about oiling the razor blades so they would cast an otherwordly glow was valid. We tried it, it didn't do shizznit, and you were right, Sean, I am an idiot. (But you are still the world's biggest 12-year-old.)

The number of takes we needed for the final line exceeded the number of cookies I bought, so we were down to about half a cookie by the time we nailed the shot.

To get the shot of the cat jumping off the table, Sean made some kind of noise to scare it away. Unfortunately it scared me too, resulting in some camera shake.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?

Despite the fact that this was done for a lighting class, the lighting/exposure ain't so hot. Or rather, perhaps it was too hot. For this material, though, I think it looks cool, and anyway I drew praise for my shot framing and editing. Ha ha ha.

Some light leak junk on razor-pickup shot.

Kinda lame audio transition out of film part.
