Ramblings and musings from the pilothouse

MV Skinwalker is a 1979 Marine Trader 49 Pilothouse well traveled in the Caribbean between South America and the East Coast of the United States prior to being acquired by the Bahamian Government through a seizure in the late 80’s or early 90’s. The boat was purchased by the previous owner and partially refitted. We continued the effort on Valentines Day 2001. The girls in the “holy place” are naturally aspirated twin Lehman120’s and push the vessel along 8.0-9.0 mph between 1500-1600 rpm’s. We find Skinwalker to be a reliable means of transportation and a comfortable home. We have outfitted and maintain Skinwalker as a cruising vessel as opposed to a motor yacht.
