Tennessee River Northeast of Guntersville, AL

We have stopped going east across the top of Alabama and are now headed North by northeast heading for the SE border of Tennessee.

We are excited about making our next mental way point of Chattanooga which should occur in about two and a half days.

It was foggy when we left this morning but cleared rapidly and was bright and sunny until we hit a moderate thunderstorm just above Guntersville. The
river has widened to almost two miles with no tow traffic but lots of local small fishing and ski boats with the occasional RV (recreational vessel
technically referring to all pleasure craft but seemingly only applying to house boats and boats like ours that one can live aboard.

We were sorry to miss Will Stoner in Huntsville and hope to entertain him and his wife on our way back through the area. We should probably have
brought our motorcycle. I think having a way to tour the areas away from the marinas is quite important. This means you are not dependent on a
marina loaner or worried about taking up someone else's time or damaging their car. We may have to remedy that problem.

Boat houses are big in Alabama. Obviously legal as opposed to Florida where no new ones can be built. There are many that are three boat houses (as in
three car garage) and also have lounging areas along the side with tables and clay firepots, bars you name it. Some have lofts and sun decks. We saw
several houses on bluffs that had elevator like devices to get down the bluff to their dock or boathouse. Many of these were 50' to 100' lengths.

Very interesting!

This next 30 days we will be meeting email acquaintances in Chattanooga, Friends from Englewood and Family from Arizona. It should be an exciting
and fun month. Hope we can entice others from Englewood to visit also.

Jesse make sure to bring your fishing stuff, heck bring your boat if you want. We can sure tow it behind us easy enough. Of course we also have our
dinghy to fish from but no electric trolling motor. Oh, heck, it's my watch at the helm until we get to our anchorage for the
night. Can't wail to see what that offers.
