Absent-Minded Professor Strikes Back

Well, it appears that in the month and a
half or so since classes were assigned times, my (former) gender studies prof
never bothered to check when her class was being held. It wasn't until no one
showed up Monday at 2 that she thought to check, at that point discovering that
class was scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, not Mondays and Wednesdays. So
the first thing I discovered upon getting to class today was that I'd have to
drop it. Apparently, the registrar's office looked at all our schedules and
found a Monday-Wednesday slot that would only conflict with two people's
schedules. Guess who was 50% of that
group.
It sucks, as gender studies classes are fun and interesting. But maybe I should consider myself lucky to not be taking a class with this professor.
Unfortunately, my alternatives weren't pretty. I could, of course, simply drop the class and then shell out thousands of dollars to stay one more quarter to take one more class, possibly getting kicked out of housing for only being part-time. Or, I could sign up for a class on Islamic thought that met Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, essentially eliminating the two free days I had managed to carve out for myself for my last quarter. Or, I could sign up for a class on Islam and Judaism that met Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 in the morning. In a move I feel brings me to full circle with my very first quarter here, when I had class at 9 almost every day, I chose the latter. I only hope it's not going to be a problem for the prof, since I, a) obviously did not go to the first class, and b) am adding into a class of now only 10 people. Might be weird. But at this point, I'm desperate.
