In Search of a Cure for Corruption?
Now that there is so much accepted, widespread and uncriticised corruption in United Kingdom society, which appears to be rife and unchallenged in the law, general politics, and both local and national government, I feel that the time has come when active steps should be considered for the restoration of moral behaviour, in all its aspects, to the country, and as the last bastion of defence for the citizen is the Law I propose to snipe at what may appear to be tiny cesspits here and there within the practice and ethics of the legal system, concealed pockets which can sometimes be exposed to light for an instant, and then, too often, are hurriedly stuffed away again in the hope, all too often justified, either that none will have noticed, or that those who have will be too unbelieving to accept the evidence of their own eyes, or too frightened of repercussions to talk about their discoveries, for in these days of blight there appears to be no fount available either of justice, or wisdom, or help, when there is a need for such as never before.
The canker of corruption has penetrated too far within the
very structure of society for tales to be told without the danger of evil
retribution overtaking and destroying the exposer before his cries of anger and
truth have been heard, drowned by the clatter and arrogant jostle of trampling,
advancing and ruthlessly brutish behaviour of those in high and low positions
of power, from which no honest citizen can be safe, no hiding-place effective,
with one possible exception - that of an anonymous, unrecognised, shadowy
figure within a faceless crowd.
If only the crowd can become a growing horde of indignant
citizens, each fed with available truth, with time and opportunity to ingest it,
and to realise the damaging danger of the penetration into every corridor of
power by unstemmed and unashamed corrupt and undemocratic principles and
practices, then there is a chance, that diminishes daily, that truth and
justice, once the unquestioned right and confident expectation of all, may one
day be restored to the United Kingdom, but unless and until such a revolution
in perception can begin, and grow, then soon all hope of justice will have
evaporated from the grasp of the country which, up to modern times, has
remained the bastion of democracy across a shattered, dishonest world.
All that is presently open to us is to create tiny
repositories of sharp-pointed pinpricks of knowledge, and attempt to make a
wider audience aware of them.
If you can think of any way of approaching the problems which
so often beset innocent citizens of the United Kingdom, some of whom may not
even be aware that their problems have arisen solely through corrupt people
holding some sort of undeserved power, which they are not morally fit to hold,
who are able to abuse it, and do so, apparently with impunity, please EMail me
with your thoughts on the subject.
If we are not able to think of a way, and soon, then it will
be too late, and will become an incurable blight from which we shall all suffer
throughout our worsening lives. It will spell the end of all happiness and
normality. We must think, and act, quickly.
