We the People Constitution Day Activity - The People

Chief Justice John Marshall wrote, "The people made the Constitution and the People can unmake it.
It is the creature of their will and lives only by their will." Cohens v Virginia 1821

1. Read the Preamble of the United States Constitution. (Find a copy online.)

2. Consider the events that followed Hurricane Katrina's devastation of the Gulf Coast states of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.

How are Justice Marshall's words exemplified by these events? Be specific. Give examples.

"No free government, or the blessings of liberty can be preserved to any people,
but by frequent recurrence to fundamental principles." George Mason

Answer on the wp document in a contrasting color (not yellow) or a different font (avoid blackmoor, dear fancy artistic fonts). Please do not put them on the web because they will show up in a search engine making them like the odd question answers in the back of the math text.. Or perhaps you have the resources to record verbal answers. If you do, be sure to first read / record the question. Then record the answer immediately after it. Make your own answer format
