The Baard Odegard Family

Research suggests this photo was taken about 1910 just prior to Baard Odegard's only return visit to his home in Norway. From left to right, Clifford "Ciffie" Odegard (1906-1984), Baard Odegard (1866-1941), Burnett "Odie" Odegard (1901-1985), Earl "Blackie" Odegard (1908-1975), Ingaborg Martinson Odegard (1877-1960) and Richard "Dick" Odegard (1902-1968). (Daughter Ina Mae was born seven or eight years after this photo was taken.)

This photo was taken in Watson, Minnesota, in about 1935 or so. Pictured are, from left to right, Ingaborg Martinson Odegard, InaMae, Baard, Richard, Annie Canton Odegard, Clara Sandbo Odegard, young John R., Clifford, and Earl. Not pictured is brother Burnett, and Richard's daughter Bonnie, who may not have yet been born.

The Odegard Boys at Play

This photo was taken in the front yard of the 641 Second Street in Watson, Minnesota. This photo was probably taken about 1910 or so, perhaps a short time before the formal portrait of the family at the top of this page. Pictured are, from left to right, brothers Clifford, Burnett, Earl and Richard.

Watson General Store

This photo was taken in the Watson General Store in about 1905 or so. Pictured at right is Baard Odegard (1866-1941) with an unidenfied man. Partners in the business included H.K. Fosnes and Henrik Smith. The General Store burned in 1912 causing Baard to return to a career as a grain buyer.
