The Yelverton Inn, Chester, New York

Built in 1765 by John Yelverton (1696-1767), this was run as a tavern for 67 years and occupied by six generations of the Yelverton family. Among distinguished guests entertained were George Washington, Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr. John Yelverton was the father-in-law of Revolutionary General Elihu Marvin (1719-1803). This is almost certainly where the members of the Marvin family talked about whether join the revolutionary movement. The building still stands and belongs to the Durland family.
