The Odegard House 641 Second Street
Watson, Minnesota
This was the home of Baard Odegard and family. Baard and Ingeborg raised their children here after their marriage in 1899. This was later the home of son Richard Odegard, when they moved from the home across the alley behind this house. According to Kylene Olson, the mayor of Watson in 2006, this one-acre section of Watson is officially called the Thora Martinson extension. More research will have to be done to learn why this area was named for Baard Odegard's mother-in-law. The house was sold to the Wik family in the 1950s, and remains the residence of Roger Wik, age 79, in 2006.

Sandbo Farm
Milan, Minnesota
This is the home of Hans K. Sandbo and family. Hans and Marit settled here in 1881 on just over 312 acres of land overlooking the wetlands at the southern end of Lac Qui Parle. Comparison of this photo with the one below shows the house was extended at some point, probably in the 1890s, adding a back porch and additional room on the second story for their growing family, the couple eventually had eight children.
The individuals in this photograph have not been identified, but it certainly includes family and friends and was taken about 1915.
