Playing tests are given to ensure that all the students are
working on the same techniques and progressing at the same
level. The beginning Band and Orchestra students will have
weekly playing tests, while the Advanced Band, Concert
Band, and Concert Orchestra will only be given tests
periodically. Check below for the current playing test and
assignments for each individual class.
6th
grade Beginning Band: Select an
instrument. There are sites under the resources page to
help you select the right instrument. Insruments and books
need to be brought to class everyday starting September
15th. instrument rental night is September 9th at CMS click
below for more information.

grade Concert Orchestra:
-Scales

major)
-work on Ships of Ireland and Sinfonia in G
8th
grade Concert Band:
-playing test
monday August 31st (warm-up set 1 opt 4)
-work on Heavy Metal and Pinnacle
