" Challenging the Minds of Students: Pathway to the Future "

Dear Instrumental Music Parents,

As you know, it is always a good idea to comparison shop for items that we purchase or lease. However, it seems that in our busy world, it is hard to find time to shop and purchase items the way that we would like. Many times parents tell us that it is even difficult to find time to get to the music store to buy their children music supplies. This is why we are writing you this letter.

On Wednesday September 9th, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, we will be having our annual “Instrument Rental Night”. At this event will be the local music stores. These music stores will have representatives here in our cafetorium where they will be renting and selling musical instruments and supplies.

This is an opportunity for beginning students to get information on renting or buying a new or used musical instrument. The students who already play an instrument can use this opportunity to buy instrument accessories such as books, shoulder rests, reeds, valve oil, etc.

The stores that will be here are:
-Music & Arts Centers located at 12364 W. Alameda Pkwy., 303-984-7700.
-Flesher Hinton Music located at 3936 Tennyson St. (1 block north of the old Elitches),
303-433-8891.
-Universal Music located at 1200 E.104
th Ave. (303) 452-1557

Go to our Music Store Page for links!!!

When visiting these three stores to buy or “rent to own” an instrument, take time and compare the value of the instrument as well as the amount of monthly payment and the length of the term. Also, both Flesher Hinton Music and Music and Arts Center have a sales representative come to Century Middle School weekly to pick up repairs and service instruments that have been rented/purchased from their store. If a phone request is made at least a day before the sales representative is scheduled to visit, he will deliver a loaner (or replacement) instrument when visiting the school. Besides being very convenient, your child will not be without an instrument to play at home or at school. You will also not need to drive to a music store when repairs are needed.

We hope that this “Instrument Rental” will be a positive event and will be a convenient way for our instrumental music parents and students to purchase music supplies. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call any of the music staff here at Century Middle School.

Sincerely,

Jared Crump-Bertram
