 About the Butler Museum Banner Project; Hand painted reproductions, oils on vinyl (2'x6') 28 images. These banners are on display on the front grounds of the museum. They were reproduced from master paintings from The Butler Art Museum permanent collection.

"I approached the museum director, Louis Zona, with the idea of doing outdoor banner reproductions shortly after ending my employment as a Journeyman Pictorial Painter at Naegele Outdoor Advertising, when such full color outdoor printed reproductions were not an affordable option. Hand painting reproductions of master works was an enriching influence and a much welcomed stimulus when compared to the majority of the outdoor advertising that I was used to focusing on. When doing reproduction works I always try to enhance color, texture, and other visual elements in order to keep a feeling of liveliness in the work and to help me connect with an energy of the original artist or motif."
