Grade 4 Colton-Pierrepont

The fourth graders attended our May meeting and interacted with some of us. The theme was "America". Each student explained briefly what it meant for them to be an American and some members of our group shared memories they had of WWII.

Bill Smith ended the program by delivering an entertaining talk about when he was an elementary student during the WWII years.
He remembered his teacher was Mrs. Ella Corcoran and told the story of how his class picked milk weed (fluff) which was sent to be made into life jackets for the soldiers. Both Senior Raqueteers and fourth graders enjoyed it. Thanks Bill!

Mrs. Story-Welch
Katrina Johnson shared why she
was proud to be an American.

We have a bottle drive coming up on June 7th.
It is hoped that many club members will help that day at Norma's house.
