The Hybrid™

The Hybrid™ was invented by Cloud Hidden Designs, LLC as a marriage of two incredibly effective construction technologies--ICF walls and a Monolithic Dome roof. Together they accomplish what neither does alone, which is to create the complete package for a modern, efficient, practically indestructible house.

ICF walls--insulated concrete forms, where concrete is poured between two layers of foam insulation--have impressive strength and energy characteristics, but are usually topped with frame roofs, losing both strength and energy efficiency.

Concrete domes are amazing in all regards, but for some people are too extreme of a look.

This is where the Hybrid fits. It gives a more traditional look, with straighter walls and lines, while integrating a super strong, super insulated roof.

The resulting house is stronger than the typical ICF house, and more conventional looking than the typical dome house. The Hybrid combines the best from both worlds. The Hybrid is available from Cloud Hidden Designs as both custom and stock house plans.
