Joyce King's 50/50 Salad Desert

The Kings live in Galt, California. Galt sits between Stockton (to the south) and Sacramento (to the north). The Kings invited me over one evening along with the local preacher, Dan Morris and his wife, Sheri. Joyce fixed a jello salad of which I could have made myself a "pig," but I didn't . . . at least not that anyone would have noticed.

I even think this is a Weightwatcher friendly dish, if not from the weightwatcher program.

1 cup water
1 cup O/J.
1 box orange jello (small)
1 box jello tapioca (small)
1 med. container of cool whip
1 can Mandarin oranges (drained)

Cook water & o/j until it boils.
Stir both boxes jello/tapioca into o/j mixture.
Stir with spoon until it boils again.
Take off stove & let cool.
Fold into the cooled mixture, cool whip & manderine org. slices.
Pour into a serving bowl & refrigerate several hours before serving.
"I always make it the night before."
